KEMB-LP Signal
Distributed Four Ways
By John Schad, KEMB-LP
The 3,800 people who live in Emmetsburg,
Iowa, have four ways to listen to Chamber of Commerce station KEMB-LP. 1.
KEMB's signal extends nearly 20 miles over the flatlands of Iowa.
2. The Chamber Channel - an audio only feed on channel 3 cable. We
normally simulcast KEMB but can split away and run commercial
announcements on the Chamber Channel cable feed while we run underwriting
announcements on KEMB-LP
3. The Cable Roll Up. This is the video side of channel 3, and is totally
disassociated from the audio. The Chamber sells slides in a constantly
running slide show presentation.
4. Webcasting. We currently webcast all sporting events covered by
KEMB-LP and are moving toward full time Webcasting.
We are currently working on ways to package all four services so that a
merchant can get an underwriting announcement on the air and on the
webcast, commercial announcements on the Chamber Channel and video
slides in the Cable Roll up.
